There’s an old saying: it’s not what you know, it’s who you know.

The truth is that it’s both.

You can’t be a successful blogger if you don’t know how to create a high-quality blog post.

You also can’t promote your blog posts if you don’t know how to do blogger outreach.

Networking can be a challenge for blog writers who are more comfortable sitting at home or in a coffee shop, deeply immersed in research.

Do you have a blog?

Are you trying to grow your blog?

Do you want to grow your blog to 1,000,000 visitors per month?

I am here to tell you that you are focusing on the wrong metric.

YES. I SAID IT. PLEASE HEAR ME OUT.

A few months ago, I had an epiphany. I realised that I was focusing too much on growing my traffic that I forgot about engagement.

If you could pick the brains of 37 experts who have grown their audience what would you ask them?

Would you ask them how they grew their audience?

Would you want to know their most effective blog growth technique?

Well, that’s what I did.

I linked up with 37 experts to ask “what’s the one technique or tool that’s helped you to grow your blog the most”.

I’d like to thank each expert for taking the time out to help my readers learn more on how to grow their blog.

I can’t remember where I was when I opened the email from Sumo, formerly Sumome stating that they recently bought the domain name Sumo.com for 1.5 million dollars.

But I remember what my reaction was.

Here’s how I reacted to the news…

  1. I immediately stopped what I was doing to read the article
  2. I fell out of my chair and broke my leg
  3. I screamed
  4. I cried. Why didn’t I think of registering Sumo.com? I could have been sitting on $1.5 million right now and laughing all the way to the bank

Shoulda. Woulda. Coulda. But I didn’t.

I have been blogging for a very long time and I have made lots of mistakes. Most of the mistakes, I made could have been avoided if I had a mentor or an experienced blogger to help me out when I hit a brick wall.

My vision is to see 1000’s of millennials, discover their purpose and start successful online businesses.

So, I decided to reach out to 11 expert bloggers to share their lessons learned. I asked them to share what they would do differently if they had to re-do their blog business journey all over again. And what they wish someone told them when they first started.

I would like to thank each one of them for taking the time out to help my readers learn more about how to be a better blogger.
